- Day 1: Arrival and Pirate Ship Ride
Upon arrival at Santa Marta airport, you will be greeted by theprivate transfer that will take you to your accommodation, where you will enjoy 4 nights in a hotel of your choice.
The first activity This trip is a Pirate Ship Ride through Santa Marta Bay, scheduled for the afternoon. After checking in, you`ll make your own way to the Marina Internacional, where you`ll board an authentic pirate ship for a unique experience lasting approximately one hour.
During the cruise, you`ll visit historic sites such as the Rodrigo de Bastidas statue, Punta Betín, El Morro, and the Fort San Fernando, while you listen to stories about colonial history and pirate attacks in the region. You`ll also be provided with a pirate kit, and if the captain allows, you`ll be able to take the helm from the sterncastle. This activity includes marina entry and sailing and is perfect to start connecting with Santa Marta and its extensive experience possibilities: history, adventure, and panoramic views of the Caribbean and the Sierra Nevada.
- Day 2: Tayrona Park and Cabo San Juan
The day starts early, with pickup from your hotel at 7:00 AM to transfer to the Tayrona National Natural Park via the Troncal del Caribe Highway. After a 45-minute drive, you will enter the park and receive an orientation on conservation and safety regulations.
You will begin a guided hike to Cabo San Juan for approximately 2 hours, where you will crosstropical forests, streams and rocky trails, and you will be able to observe native flora and fauna such as orchids, palms and tropical birds. Upon arriving in Cabo San Juan, you`ll enjoy white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, with time to swim or relax. Optionally, you can have lunch at local restaurants (lunch not included).
The activity ends in mid-afternoon with the return to your hotel, having experienced one of the most emblematic beaches of the Colombian Caribbean.
- Day 3: Discovering Minca and the Sierra Nevada
Starting at 8:30 AM, you will depart for Minca, in the Sierra Nevada, accompanied by a local guide. The first stop will be a coffee farm, where you will learn about the Colombian coffee production process and taste fresh samples of Colombia`s favorite beverage.
Then, you will take a 30-minute hike to natural water holes ideal for swimming and enjoying nature. At noon, you will have a gourmet lunch in a bamboo house, accompanied by a talk about local biodiversity and the use of bamboo in sustainable construction.
The day continues with a short visit to an artisanal cocoa museum, where you will learn about traditional chocolate production in the region. The experience ends at approximately 4:30 PM, returning you to your hotel in Santa Marta.
- Day 4: El Rodadero, Acuario and Playa Blanca – Marine Adventure and Relaxation in the Caribbean
You will begin your fourth day with pickup from your hotel at 9:00 AM, from where you will transfer to the port of El Rodadero. There you will board a speedboat that will take you first to the Aquarium and Museum of the Sea, an ideal space to discover the marine life of the Colombian Caribbean, with sharks, turtles, corals and tropical fish. During the visit, a specialized guide will explain about ocean conservation and marine biodiversity, making the experience both educational and entertaining. Then, the boat will take you to Playa Blanca, famous for its turquoise waters and white sand. In this paradisiacal setting you will enjoy a typical coastal lunch included, while contemplating the views of the Caribbean Sea. You will have free time to swim, relax on the beach or explore the surroundings, capturing unforgettable photos. At the end of the day, you will return by boat to El Rodadero and then to your hotel in Santa Marta, closing out a day full of aquatic adventure, nature, and relaxation by the sea.
- Day 5: Farewell and Transfer to the Airport
After breakfast, you will receive a private transfer from your hotel to Santa Marta airport, concluding your trip through the Colombian Caribbean, combining nature and paradisiacal beaches.
