Bogotá and its surroundings have a lot to offer. Early in the morning, our professional guide will pick you up at your accommodation. This activity can start between 7 AM and 12 PM, you choose the time that is most comfortable for you. We recommend starting very early to make the most of the adventure.
On board the car, we will go to our first stop, Cerro de Guadalupe, one of the best viewpoints in Bogotá located at 3317 meters above sea level . The hill houses a sanctuary originally built in the 17th century and the 15-meter statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.
After obtaining the best panoramic views of the capital, we will advance along the road to Choachí in search for the mountainous forest and misty waterfalls.
After an hour`s drive, we will be at the entrance to the La Chorrera natural and adventure park. We will enter the steep, slippery and rocky paths, to find ourselves with the first small waterfall, El chiflón. It is 55 meters high and is a destination for the most adventurous who rappel down its cold waters.
As we progress, you will learn about the history of the park, the local ecosystem and the indigenous legacy. You will explore other natural curiosities such as “the monkey cave ”, while you go up and down the hills and curved paths that make this fog forest so peculiar.
In the depths of the park we will find La Chorrera, the famous stepped waterfall 590 meters high. In this waterfall you cannot rappelling, but you can admire it, while you rest your feet a little, surrounded by the extensive vegetation and the mystique of the moor forest.
To finish and if you selected the option, you will feel like a local, enjoying a delicious traditional lunch.
We will return to Bogotá after 7 hours of nature, the activity ends with the drop off at your hotel.
