Day 1 – History that is walked, salsa that is lived
Your experience will begin with a warm welcome at Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport, from where a private transfer will take you directly to your hotel in Cali. After settling in, immerse yourself in the city`s historic soul with a walking tour of its iconic downtown area.
Led by an expert local guide, you`ll begin the tour in San Antonio and pass through some of the city`s most iconic landmarks. The route will take you through Jairo Varela Plaza, a musical tribute to the unforgettable Grupo Niche, passing by the imposing Grupo Niche Monument and the historic Ortiz Bridge. You will continue towards Paseo Bolívar, a pedestrian street where colonial architecture and urban life merge into a vivid postcard of the city. You will visit Plaza de Caicedo and its institutional surroundings, the majestic San Pedro Cathedral, the charming Parque de los Poetas and the elegant Jorge Isaacs Theater. At every step, you`ll discover how history, literature, and music are intertwined in Cali`s identity.
The tour will end at Boulevard del Río, where you can choose to return with the group to the meeting point or stay and explore the area`s cafes, galleries, and bohemian corners on your own.
At night, the city will change pace to welcome you to one of its most vibrant gems: the salsa show at El Mulato Cabaret. This iconic stage, home to the renowned Swing Latino company, will be the epicenter of an unforgettable evening.
From the first dance step, you will experience the contagious energy of Cali salsa in a live show full of strength, acrobatics and Latin flavor. After the show, the dance floor will be open so you can dance too, enjoy a typical drink, and close out the day wrapped in the nightlife magic that only Cali can offer.
Day 2 – Saying goodbye with the rhythm still in your feet
After a night full of rhythm and flavor, you will enjoy a free morning to rest or explore the city on your own. At the end of your stay, a private transfer will take you promptly from the hotel back to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport, with your heart full of music, culture and unforgettable memories of the capital of salsa.
