We will begin the day with pickup from your hotel located in the center of Cali. We will leave the city to enter the natural reserve located on the edge of the road and in the area of Km 18. Cali, strategically located near the Colombian Pacific, with Its unique climate and topography attracts around 170 migratory species throughout the year, becoming an ideal destination for lovers of ornithology.
During the journey to the reserve, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast while our expert sighting guide provides us with instructions and shares stories about theimportance of preserving the species` habitat.
Once on the ground, following the guide`s recommendations, we will enter walks along trails surrounded by dense vegetation and vibrant fauna. You will have the unique opportunity to spot birds such as the green hummingbird, the iris-billed toucan, the mountain woodpecker and the crested eagle.
The tour also includes visits to strategic hiding places for intimate observation of birds while they feed, as well as access to six areas within the nature reserve designed to maximize encounters with regional avian biodiversity. Throughout the day, you will be able to capture in photographs and recordings the colorful plumages and enchanting melodies of the birds that inhabit this unique ecosystem.
Species like the Pblue-fronted erico, with its bright colors, the Barranquero with its turquoise blue chest and brown crown, the Azulejo with its intense blue plumage and the Tangara with its transition from bright green to yellow, will make your watching experience an unforgettable day.
