Today we will begin this experience in this cool and picturesque Casablanca Valley, one of the most important wine-producing regions in the center of the country.
We will leave our hotel at approximately 9:00 am to take Route 68 to the Casablanca Valley to visit two boutique vineyards in the area. To taste little varieties
common ones like
"Sangiovese" and "Carignan", as well as new interpretations of our
more traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah.
We will explore wineries
renowned in the Valley Casablanca,
where we will learn about the art and science behind the production of world-class wines. Discover the modern winemaking techniques and the artisanal dedication that brings each bottle to life.
During the tour,
we will visit two vineyards. I will mention some of the boutique or family-owned wineries we will visit. These may vary depending on availability, but the unique experience is 100% guaranteed.
Viña Villard, founded in 1989 by Thierry Villard in the Casablanca Valley, is considered the first boutique winery in Chile. For three decades now, Viña Villard
has been recognized as one of the best wineries in the Valley. And for more than ten years, with the solidity of someone with an intimate understanding of the characteristics of their territory and the terroir,
the second generation of the family has innovated with new winemaking techniques to create new super-premium wines of great structure and elegance. Its two iconic wines are perfectly blended from harvest to vinification, oak aging, and bottling: "Tanagra", a perfect Syrah, and "Arganat" , an exquisite and fresh Chardonnay.
Viña Casas del Bosque, this family-run winery, was founded in 1993 in the heart of the Casablanca Valley, and employs the latest technology to carry out each stage of the winemaking process. It has been ranked repeatedly as one of the best vineyards to visit in the world for its first-class wine tourism, offering exclusive wine and food experiences, and for its premium wines with tremendous freshness and uniqueness. Its iconic grape varieties include Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Carmenere.
Viña Recova, Located in one of the most remote and cold corners beyond the Casablanca Valley, this boutique winery produces human-scale wines from a single variety, Sauvignon Blanc. Its wines are a reflection of the land, and its vineyards possess unique characteristics. One of its main attractions is that we will be welcomed into the producer`s home, allowing us to observe and understand the small-scale winemaking process and the beauty of the place, located in the most remote corner of the Casablanca Valley.
In between both visits, we will also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch of typical Chilean cuisine from the valley.
Finally, in the afternoon, we will return to our hotel in Santiago, filled with emotions after enjoying a day in this fresh and young valley.
An experience that will delight your senses and enrich your appreciation for quality wine!
