Today we will begin our experience at the meeting point, which we will confirm with you, and from there we will head to a special area, the Ayllú de Coyo, where we will be able to contemplate the night sky unfolding before our eyes.
First, we will observe the night sky with equipment, where we will be able to learn more about what we are observing astronomically, such as the distance of the stars from planet Earth, their dimensions, temperature, etc. This first talk will last approximately 50 minutes.
After a short break where we will enjoy a delicious and restorative coffee and snack, we will have a second part where we will observe the sky without the use of equipment. We will be able to see with our own eyes the constellations that accompany us at that moment, while we learn about the Greek and Andean cosmology, their culture, how indigenous peoples viewed the constellations, and their conception of life after death.
The combination of science and culture in a single tour makes it an enriching and unique experience. It gives us the opportunity not only to learn about the universe, but also to immerse ourselves in the worldview of local communities and understand how they have interpreted and worshipped the sky throughout history.
Without a doubt, this
experience in San Pedro de Atacama opens your senses and connects you with both the cosmos and the cultural heritage of the region.
At the end,
we will return to our hotel, so you can rest and recharge for
another day of adventures in the Atacama Desert.
