Details of Day Tours

Depending on the choice chosen, the guide will pick you up at 7:00 AM in Puerto Tranquilo, or we will meet at 9:30 AM at the Bahía Exploradores dock (see below how to get there if you choose the option without transfer). Once we arrive at the dock, we will have a brief safety briefing and our guide will give us an overview of our trip. 

After boarding the boat, we will have a delicious breakfast while we enjoy the scenic beauty offered by the final stretch and delta of the Exploradores River. After the gentle navigation of approximately two hours, we will arrive at the Laguna San Rafael National Park.

Once we disembark at the dock of the National Park, we can take a short walk along an interpretive trail lasting 30 minutes round trip, to rest from navigation, go to the bathroom and explore theruins of the historic Ofqui hotel

After the brief rest we will return to the boat, and we will sail towards the wall of theSan Rafael Glacier, where we will be able to contemplate its imposing fall and the magnificent natural scenery that surrounds it. Here we will enjoy a delicious homemade lunch, and as a highlight, we will drink whiskey with ancient ice! in addition to enjoying a good coffee. After this pleasant navigation, we will return to the dock at approximately 5:00 p.m., and those who chose the option with transfer will be returning to Puerto Tranquilo at approximately 8:00 p.m.

How to get to Puerto Exploradores: In Puerto Tranquilo, just before crossing the northern limit bridge, you must turn onto route X-728 towards the Exploradores Valley, which you must follow until the end of the road (until Km. 91). ) Take into account that it is approximately 2 Hrs. from Puerto Tranquilo to the meeting point, which will be at 9:45 AM, so you must leave Puerto Tranquilo no later than 7:30 AM. The crew will be waiting for you here, and you will find a large area to park.
