from Santiago via the Cajón del Maipo is
the Valley of the Engorda offers spectacular views of the San José Volcano, at 5,856 meters above sea level. Here, we`ll enjoy trekking in the heart of the mountain range.
Along the way, we`ll be able to see the El Morado Natural Monument, a protected area. We`ll also add to this adventure a relaxing and revitalizing experience in the warm waters of the Baños de Colina Hot Springs.
From the beginning of our journey in the Engorda Valley, for approximately 3.5 hours we`ll be greeted by spectacular panoramic views of the majestic San José Volcano. Its peak, reaching the sky at 5,856 meters above sea level, will become your traveling companion as we ascend.
We begin our odyssey by leaving Santiago, leaving behind the routine to embark on a journey into the unknown, where the majesty of nature awaits us. Just 110 km from the city, we will find the Cajón del Maipo, exploring the nature that awakens as we approach the majestic San José Volcano.
Upon reaching this hidden corner in the Andes Mountains, we will prepare for the journey with the necessary safety instructions and begin our trek, immersed in the incomparable beauty of the mountain range, with the El Morado Natural Monument
as a witness to our journey.
We will reach the
impressive Engorda Valley,
where we stop to enjoy a well-deserved and complete box lunch. While we delight in the food, we contemplate the imposing presence of the San José Volcano, which rises majestically to 5,856 meters above sea level.
After marveling at the Engorda Valley, we return to the car and head towards the relaxing Baños Colina Hot Springs, an oasis of wellness in the heart of the Andes Mountains. The contrast between the coolness of the mountains and the warmth of the hot springs promises a rejuvenating experience.
In this relaxing place, we will delight in a unique gastronomic experience. We enjoyed boards with a variety of cheeses and hams, accompanied by the exquisite Chilean wine, celebrating the day
in this relaxed atmosphere.
With our bodies relaxed and our spirits full of gratitude, we began the return to Santiago,
taking with us the renewed energy of the mountains and the hot springs.
Our adventure culminates with our arrival at the hotel, where we can reflect on the moments shared and the surprising landscapes explored during this day full of nature and well-being.
