Details of Day Tours

Today, our adventure will begin, departing at approximately 7:00 a.m. from your hotel in Santiago, to travel towards the Aconcagua Valley, a mountain basin located about 90 km from the city.

We will head north until we reach the rural town of Olmué, and from there, we will reach La Campana National Park. We will arrive at the park at approximately 9 AM and from there, Following in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, who visited La Campana National Park in August 1834, we will discover this wonderful place designated by UNESCO as a "World Biosphere Reserve", to protect a unique ecosystem that includes an abundant and diverse native flora and fauna and its local community. Some palm trees are 400 years old!

In addition, the main objective of La Campana National Park is to preserve the Chilean Palm (Jubaea Chilensis), the southernmost palm tree in the world, which is currently in danger of extinction due to indiscriminate exploitation for the production of palm honey, which began in the colonial era to replace sugarcane used in Central America and the Caribbean.

After receiving the necessary safety recommendations, we will begin Our trekking to the summit of Cerro la Campana. We will follow the 12-km round-trip La Cascada Trail to reach a viewpoint where you can see a waterfall of about 30 meters, which gives the trail its name. This waterfall also reminds us of the great climate change we have been subjected to worldwide. This doesn`t take away from the spectacular and unique beauty of the place.

On our way back to the starting point, we`ll share a delicious glass of Chilean wine and cheese to close out a day of one of the most beautiful treks in central Chile.

In short, trekking in La Campana National Park offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Chile`s natural beauty, explore diverse and challenging trails, and enjoy spectacular views from the top of La Campana Hill. Whether you`re a seasoned hiker or a nature lover looking for new adventures, this national park is sure to leave you amazed.
