Today we invite you on this unique natural adventure. Just 110 km from Santiago, a natural paradise secretly hides that awakens the senses and captivates the spirit. The El Morado National Natural Monument Park is nestled in the heart of the Andes Mountains. This protected sanctuary embraces the magical Cajón del Río Morales and the imposing surrounding hills, highlighting the majesty of the beautiful Cerro El Morado, which, at 5,060 meters above sea level, gives the park its name.
We begin our
odyssey by departing from Santiago at approximately
7:00 a.m., leaving behind the routine to embark on a
journey into the unknown, where the majesty of nature awaits us.
Just 110 km from the city, we come across the Cajón del Arenas. The journey takes us through the
impressive Cajón del Maipo,
giving us panoramic views of imposing mountains and serene valleys.
Upon arriving at this
hidden corner in the Andes Mountains at approximately 10:00 a.m.,
we are immersed in a breathtaking landscape. The Cajón del Arenas welcomes us with its trails that promise to reveal the secrets of nature.
After approximately 3.5 hours of trekking, we reach the jewel in the crown, El Morado Glacier. Here, the majesty of the Glacier Lagoon and The Hanging Glacier of Morado await us in all their glory, a spectacle of ancient ice cascading down, creating a magical and mystical atmosphere, while we enjoy a well-deserved and full
box lunch amidst this glacial setting.
With our hearts full of wonder and memories, we begin our return to the starting point at 2:30 p.m. The descent allows us to reflect on the magnitude of the experience.
Once we return to the starting point at 5:00 p.m., we delight in a unique gastronomic experience. We enjoyed platters with a variety of cheeses and hams,
accompanied by the exquisiteness of a Chilean wine,
celebrating the day in this relaxed atmosphere.
With our spirits full of gratitude and the flavors still fresh on our palates, we began our return to Santiago at approximately 6:00 PM, taking with us the magic of the Glaciar del Morado.

After bidding farewell to the Morado Glacier, you have the option of adding a stop at the magical place
of "Baños de Colina Hot Springs"
during the return drive at approximately 2:30 p.m. to head back to the hotel.
The contrast between the coolness of the mountains and the warmth of the hot springs promises
a rejuvenating experience. If you decide to add this relaxing option to the tour, an additional 2 hours will be added.
Our day culminates
with arrival at the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m., where we can rest and reflect on the natural wonders explored
during the day.
