Day 1: Arrival and City Tour of Santa Marta
Upon arrival at Santa Marta Airport, you will be greeted by your private transfer that will take you to your hotel, where you will spend 5 nights. After settling in and resting a bit, the adventure will begin in the afternoon with a Santa Marta City Tour.
In the company of an expert local guide, you`ll visit the city`s most emblematic sites, starting with the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, a historic 17th-century hacienda where Simón Bolívar died. You`ll discover its gardens, colonial architecture, and historical artifacts that tell the story of the Liberator`s life and legacy. Next, you`ll walk through the historic center to the Cathedral Basilica Menor, admiring its altarpieces, sculptures, and the story of Rodrigo de Bastidas, the city`s founder.
The tour continues to the Gold Museum, where you`ll explore the cultural richness of the indigenous peoples of the Colombian Caribbean through gold pieces, ceramics, and textiles. The day includes a stop at the Pibe Valderrama Monument, a symbol of Colombian football, and ends at the Taganga Viewpoint, from where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, the port of Taganga, and the Sierra Nevada mountains, especially magical at sunset.
Day 2: El Rodadero – Acuario and Playa Blanca
Start your day with a transfer to the Port of El Rodadero, where you will board a speedboat that will take you to the will take you to the Aquarium and Marine Museum. There you will discover the marine life of the Colombian Caribbean, from sharks and turtles to corals and tropical fish, while learning about the conservation of marine ecosystems and their biodiversity.
After exploring the aquarium, the boat will take you to Playa Blanca, one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. Its turquoise waters and white sands invite you to relax, swim or simply contemplate the landscape.
During the visit you will enjoy a typical coastal lunch in front of the sea and you will have time to explore the surroundings and capture unforgettable photographs. In the afternoon, you will return by boat to El Rodadero and then to your hotel, closing out a day full of sun, sea, and nature.
Day 3: Sailing Day in the Caribbean Sea
Get ready for a day of relaxation and adventure on a sailboat. You will set sail from the port of Santa Marta towards Bahía Concha, feeling the sea breeze and admiring the views of the Caribbean. During the cruise, the sound of the waves and the feel of the wind in the sails create a unique atmosphere to connect with nature.
Upon arrival at Bahía Concha, you`ll have time to explore the beach, walk along the white sand, and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. On board the sailboat, you can enjoy a fresh lunch and snorkel, kayak, or paddleboard, exploring the reefs and the diverse marine life that inhabits the area. The return to the port of Santa Marta closes the day, leaving memories of an unforgettable day on the Caribbean Sea.
Day 4: Tayrona Park – Cabo San Juan
This day will take you to the heart of Tayrona National Natural Park, one of the most iconic destinations in the Colombian Caribbean. After a pickup from your hotel, you`ll enter the park and begin a guided hike to Cabo San Juan, traversing trails surrounded by tropical rainforest, observing local fauna and flora, crossing streams, and enjoying stunning landscapes along the way.
Upon arriving in Cabo San Juan, you`ll be rewarded with white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming or simply relaxing and contemplating the natural surroundings. If you wish, you can explore the nearby viewpoint to capture panoramic views of the park and the Caribbean Sea. The return hike will allow you to say goodbye to the Tayrona trails before returning to your hotel in Santa Marta.
Day 5: Taganga – Fishing Village and Playa Grande
The last full day of activities begins with a trip to Taganga, a picturesque fishing village with colorful streets and an authentic atmosphere. You`ll visit the boardwalk, the Taganga viewpoint, and walk along the coast of Playa Grande, a protected area surrounded by green hills and cliffs that preserve their natural beauty.
At Playa Grande, you`ll have time to swim, relax, and enjoy a typical coastal lunch, facing the sea. In addition, you will be able to walk along the beach, take photos and explore the surroundings before returning to Taganga and finally to your hotel in Santa Marta, concluding this experience of culture, tradition and contact with nature.
Day 6: Farewell – Transfer to the Airport
