DAY 1 NATALES PORT - SERON TREKKING
After breakfast at the hotel in Puerto Natales, you must request your box lunch and go to the bus terminal to take the 07:00 am bus (we recommend being 10 minutes before departure) to go to the Torres del Paine National Park. . The journey takes place in the middle of the Patagonian pampas, to reach Laguna Amarga, a place where the entrance must be registered with CONAF. Transfer is made with "Transporte Las Torres", who will take you to the Welcome Center, where the registration of passengers of the Cerro Paine Reserve is carried out. Then the walk to the Serón campsite begins. Although it is considered one of the simplest walks in the circuit, the path to Serón offers many amazing landscapes. After having settled in the campsite, you will have a little time to enjoy the immense size of the terrain before dinner.
DAY 2 SERON TREKKING - DICKSON
Today begins a long walk through undulating hills and wet meadows into the interior of the park. Snow-capped mountains, pastel blue lakes, and vast expanses of grassland will be the backdrop as you explore the north side of the park, along with stunning and awe-inspiring views of Dickson Glacier, Cuba Hill, and other jagged peaks that mark the boundary between Chile and Argentina. Once you reach the Dickson area, you check in and during the afternoon you can take a walk along the rocky shore of Lake Dickson, all this before dinner at the refuge.
DAY 3 TREKKING DICKSON - LOS PERROS
Today the walk will take place in the most remote area of the park, in the midst of lush green vegetation. You will be able to feel the wind blowing through the bushes and listen to the pleasant sound of the Magellanic woodpeckers. Bordering the Los Perros River, you climb up a large moraine where you`ll be breathless as you see another picturesque mountain in the background, the marvelous Los Perros Glacier and its blue-green lagoon. You continue along a rocky path before reaching the Los Perros campsite, which will be your accommodation for tonight. It is recommended to rest, the next day will be long.
DAY 4 TREKKING LOS PERROS - GREY
Take a breath and get ready for the most demanding day of the Paine circuit, but, at the same time, a very rewarding one. After having an early breakfast in the barbecue area and requesting your box lunch, you will begin to make your way through gnarled tree roots and large mud puddles, under the green canopy of the trees. Leaving the forest, you begin to ascend through worn and loose rocks (sometimes with snow) until you reach the highest point of the circuit, the famous John Garner Pass (1,200 m.a.s.l.). Enveloped by the strong Patagonian winds while you are impressed by the Southern Ice Fields and their marvelous resplendent carpet, the descent is made by the side of a giant wall of ice and the trail continues through the El Paso campsite, where there is an outpost of park rangers Then traverse the thrilling suspension bridges before arriving at the Gray Lodge for dinner and a much-deserved rest.
DAY 5 GREY TREKKING - PAINE GRANDE
Enjoy breakfast at the Gray refuge before starting to marvel at more spectacular landscapes of Campos de Hielo Sur and the icebergs of Lake Gray (don`t forget to order your box lunch!). An ascent hike through a mountainous forest to reach the sometimes very windy Gray Glacier viewpoint. The walk continues until you reach the Los Patos lagoon, where you begin the descent through a narrow and windy valley that takes you directly to the Paine Grande refuge.
DAY 6 TREKKING PAINE GRANDE - LOS HORNOS
Start early in the morning to have a whole day of walking towards the heart of Torres del Paine National Park. After breakfast, request your box lunch and get ready for a day of landscapes of Patagonian mountains. Walk through arid landscapes and along the shores of the wonderful blue waters of Lake Skottsberg. After approximately 2.5 hours of walking you will arrive at the Italiano campsite, where the ascent towards the valley begins. Climb through the immense rocky terrain and follow the edge of the treetops until you reach the French lookout, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Cuernos, turquoise glacial lagoons and wonderful hanging glaciers that cascade down the face. east of Cerro Paine Grande (3,050 meters). If you`re lucky, you`ll hear the crash of falling water and ice! It is also a point where avalanches can commonly be observed. This is the ideal time to take some pictures and enjoy the box lunch. You return along the same path to the Italian campsite and then you must continue towards Domos Francés or Los Cuernos refuge. Relax in the afternoon and enjoy a delicious dinner in the refuge you have chosen.
DAY 7 TREKKING LOS CUERNOS - LAS TORRES
Regardless of whether you start the walk from the Los Cuernos refuge or from Domos Francés, you will make your way through pristine streams, admiring the hanging glaciers of Mount Almirante Nieto (2,670 meters) and you will be able to look for condors while bordering the captivating blue-green waters of Lake Nordenskjöld. Follow the well-marked trail until you reach the Torre Central refuge, where you can relax in the afternoon.
DAY 8 TORRES BASE TREKKING - PUERTO NATALES
Today`s walk begins through the Ascencio Valley, enjoying its extensive forests. During the final ascent, you cross an immense field of giant rocks, until you reach one of the most emblematic viewpoints in the world, the famous Base Torres viewpoint. At a height of 900 m.a.s.l., marvel at the 3 towers (north, central and south) of granite and the brilliant turquoise glacial lake at your feet. This is the ideal time to take pictures and enjoy your box lunch before returning along the same path, now downhill, towards the Torre Central refuge and the Welcome Center. At 7:00 p.m. you must take the “Las Torres” transfer that goes to Laguna Amarga to connect with the regular bus at 7:30 p.m. that goes to Puerto Natales. Approximate arrival time in Natales is 9:15 p.m.
