We will begin our hike on the banks of the Mercedes River, gradually entering a beautiful native lenga and canelo forest. The environment becomes increasingly immersive, with natural sounds and aromas of the forest that invite you to disconnect. Along the trail, we will discover a fascinating hidden universe of lichens, mosses, and fungi, using magnifying lenses adaptable to cell phones that will allow us to observe surprising shapes and colors, invisible to the naked eye.
In addition, we will learn about medicinal plants and their ancient traditional uses. In season, you can also collect wild fruits and taste them directly from the forest, such as calafate or michay. With a little luck, we might spot native birds such as the Magellanic woodpecker, among other winged visitors to the forest.
The hike culminates at a beautiful waterfall, where we`ll stop at a natural viewpoint to rest. There, we`ll light a campfire and share a delicious box lunch, prepared with wild beef from the Estancia and carefully selected local produce. A perfect moment to relax, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings while connecting with nature.
The trail is of low difficulty, ideal for those seeking a calm, family-friendly, and enriching experience in the heart of Patagonia.
