We will meet early in the morning to begin a tour of Northern Antioquia, leaving behind the urban rhythm and venturing into the green landscapes and tranquility of the Antioquian countryside. The first part of the tour will take us through the municipality of San Pedro de los Milagros, where we will walk along its cobblestone streets, observe its traditional adobe houses and visit its imposing colonial church, one of the most representative historical and architectural symbols of the region. This initial contact will allow us to understand the religious and cultural identity that characterizes the towns of northern Antioquia.
We will continue to Entrerríos, known as the "Colombian Switzerland," a destination surrounded by vast natural landscapes that invite calm and contemplation. There we will have time to explore the town, enjoy its peaceful atmosphere, and purchase local products, such as the traditional cuca cookies, a typical flavor very representative of this area of Northern Antioquia.
Later we will arrive at an interactive rural farm, where we will experience a close and authentic glimpse into rural life in Antioquia. In this space you can interact with the farm animals, feed them and learn firsthand about the artisanal cheesemaking process, a tradition passed down from generation to generation. Surrounded by verdant landscapes, we will also enjoy an breakfast and lunch outdoors, featuring typical Colombian cuisine, in an ideal setting for families and especially recommended for those traveling with children.
The tour will continue to Santa Rosa de Osos, recognized as the “town with the most churches in Colombia”. During the visit, we will explore some of these religious buildings, appreciating their architecture, their heritage value, and the history surrounding them, while we tour the town center and immerse ourselves in its local atmosphere.
As a complement to the day, we will visit the Plaza del Río, a natural and educational space where it will be possible to interact with perchero horses and observe the curious ostriches up close, offering a different, educational, and fun experience for the whole family.
With all these activities, this rural tour in Northern Antioquia will offer a full day combining culture, nature, and local traditions, before beginning the return to Medellín at approximately 8:00 p.m.
