We start early, at 6:10 AM, meeting at the Estadio Metro Station, an important landmark in the city that makes access easy for those staying in the Laureles area.

We then head to Parque del Poblado, an iconic and vibrant location in the heart of Medellín. Here we will meet at 7:00 AM with the other travelers staying in the nearby areas.

Around 7:30 AM we will begin our journey to Guatapé, a picturesque town known for its vibrant colors and colonial charm. During the journey, our guide will share relevant information about the history and culture of the region, preparing you for the experience that awaits you.

We will make a brief stop at Alto del Chocho, where you can enjoy impressive panoramic views of the mountainous landscapes that surround the route. This stop is a perfect opportunity to take pictures and stretch our legs before continuing our journey.

Around 9:30 AM we will arrive at our first official stop, the replica of the Old Peñol, a monument that commemorates the ancient town submerged under the waters of the dam. Here you will learn about the history and culture of the area, while enjoying stunning panoramic views from above.

We continue our experience with a unique view of the Guatapé Dam from a boat. This boat ride will give you a different perspective on the natural beauty of the region, we will sail for approximately 40 minutes while learning about the importance of the dam to the locals.

At noon we arrive at one of the most emblematic points of our tour, the imposing Piedra del Peñol. Although the ascent to the top is not included in the tour, you will have time to admire this natural wonder from the base and capture impressive photographs. If you wish, you will have time to climb the 702 steps that take you to the top of the rock (the ticket to go up is paid directly at the destination).

In the rock area we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch, where you can taste traditional and authentic dishes of Colombian cuisine. It will be time to rest and recharge your batteries for the next part of our adventure.

After lunch, we will explore the charming towns of Nuevo Peñol and Guatapé, walking through their picturesque streets and admiring the famous plinths on the facades of the houses. These towns are known for their colorful architecture and cozy atmosphere, which will transport you to another time.

We conclude our day by exploring the Malecón and the artisan shops of Guatapé, where you can buy unique souvenirs and appreciate the work of local artisans. This is the perfect time to enjoy a coffee, immerse yourself in the culture and creativity of the region before heading back.

We say goodbye to these beautiful places, returning to Medellin by the same route. The activity will end around 6:00 PM with the drop off at the original meeting point.
