The tour operates on August 9, 2026 , the only day of the Silleteros Parade. Pick-up begins at 9:00 AM in downtown Medellín, arriving at the parade area around 10:00 AM . This schedule is not arbitrary: the parade starts at 12:00 noon, and access to the stands and viewing areas closes before that time. Arriving early is part of the experience and makes the difference between seeing the parade from a good vantage point or missing out.
The parade begins in Provenza , in El Poblado, where the city is already buzzing with the festive spirit from early morning. Floral decorations, flower vendors in the streets, and the atmosphere of a Medellín dressed in its finest once a year. From there, the parade continues towards Parques del Río , the urban corridor along Avenida Regional where the parade truly comes alive, with the city as its backdrop.
Once in the parade area, the group takes its place in the space assigned according to the chosen category, receives its lunchbox , and is ready to enjoy. The parade runs from 12:00 PM until approximately 6:00 PM, featuring flower growers of all categories: emblematic, monumental, commercial, and children—the boys and girls of the farming families who keep the tradition alive from a young age.
TWO OPTIONS TO EXPERIENCE THE SILLETEROS PARADE:
- With a private box: guaranteed prime location on the main street of the parade route. Full visibility of all the floats, guaranteed comfort, and the best angle to photograph every detail. Boxes have limited capacity and sell out weeks in advance.
- No VIP box — public seating area: located in the foothills area, around the highway, with assigned seating and space organized by the Tangol team. Visibility is further from the main street, but the entire parade can be seen. Ideal for those who want to experience the parade in a lively atmosphere, surrounded by locals.
In both options the service includes pick-up, transport, certified guide, lunchbox, snacks and hydration.
