We will start the activity with the pick-up at your place of accommodation. If you are not in the pickup coverage area, we will look for you at the informed meeting point.
Our first stop will be the San Felipe de Barajas Castle. This architectural wonder located in Cartagena, is one of the most important historical monuments and emblematic of Colombia. Built in the 17th century by the Spanish during their colonial rule, this impressive fort was designed with the aim of defending the city from constant attacks by pirates and enemies.
We will delve into the imposing fortification, while the guide reveals fascinating details about its historical events, construction and the strategic defenses that were carried out from this place. We will explore the secret tunnels and passages that allow you to have different city views. From inside we will understand why the Castle was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.
After soaking up the history, it will time to satisfy your palate. We will go to a cozy place where you can taste delicious sweets typical of the region, followed by an exceptional coffee experience. In addition, we will surprise you with a signature drink that will leave you fascinated .
We will continue the tour with the transfer to Cerro de la Popa. We will ascend towards one of the most mystical places in Cartagena where thepanoramic views of the city will leave you breathless. At the top of the hill, you will discover the Convento de Santa Cruz de la Popa,a place of peace and spirituality. You will learn about its historical and religious importance andyou will tour the facilities of the placeadmiring its architecture and learning about all the myths that are kept there.
After 3 and a half hours of travel, we will return to your accommodation where the services will end.
