Day 1 – Arrival and First City Tour
Upon arrival at El Dorado Airport, a driver will be waiting to comfortably transfer you to your hotel in the city. After check-in and a short break, begin your experience with the Hop-On Hop-Off Tourist Bus, which operates in two shifts: morning (9:00 AM) and afternoon (2:00 PM).
If your flight arrives in the morning, we suggest joining the afternoon tour. The closest stop to the hotel may vary, but the service allows you to easily join at any of its 12 points. For the first day, we recommend taking the entire route without getting off, ideal for familiarizing yourself with the city from a panoramic perspective.
This journey of approximately 4 hours will show you the contrasts of the capital: from the modern elegance of the Zona T and Parque de la 93, to the colonial treasures of the historic center. You will also be able to appreciate emblematic places such as:
- International Center, with its contemporary buildings and theaters.
- Plaza de Mercado La Concordia, one of the most authentic markets Bogota residents.
- Monserrate, with its sanctuary and unmissable views (you can go up the same day or leave it for the next day depending on your arrival and departure times from the city).
At the end of the tour (last stop approximately 6:00 p.m. at Parque de la 93), you can stay in this area to have dinner in one of its restaurants or bars with terraces, ideal for ending the day with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Return to the hotel on your own or by taxi (safe and easily available in the area).
Day 2 – Free exploration and return
After breakfast, you`ll have even more time tocontinue exploring the city with your hop-on hop-off bus ticket, which is still active. Today you can make longer stops at the places that caught your attention the day before.
An excellent option is to start at Monserrate Hill, where you can walk, take the funicular or cable car, and enjoy the most impressive views of Bogotá (Tkt to Monserrate not included). You can also visit the Gold Museum, walk the cobblestone streets of La Candelaria, or explore the bustling Chorro de Quevedo, the city`s founding site that today brings together artisans, students, and all of Bogotá`s diverse culture.
At the agreed time, a private transfer will pick you up at your hotel and take you to El Dorado Airport to take your return flight, with the satisfaction of having explored Bogotá at your own pace and in a short time.
