On this exciting 8-hour nature excursion, we will delve into the fascinating world of theSacred Lagoon of Guatavita, located at 3,100 meters above sea level. This sacred site was venerated by the indigenous Muiscas, who considered it a place of great spiritual importance.
We will depart from Bogotá around 08 AM and during our trip, we will witness impressive landscapes whilewe cross the majestic Andean mountains and immerse ourselves in the lush vegetation that surrounds the lagoon.
The lagoon is located in the municipality of Sesquilé, just 70 kilometers north of Bogotá. Upon arriving at the destinationwe will receive instructions to follow the trails that take us to the beautiful lagoon. The guide will lead our way while we marvel at thenatural beauty of this place, where the legend of El Dorado comes to life. We will imagine the ancient ceremonies of the Muiscas, who threw gold objects and precious stones into the depths of the lagoon as offerings.
