We’ll begin our Bariloche Lake Crossing to Puerto Varas tour in the centre of Bariloche, where we’ll hop on the bus to Puerto Pañuelo on Nahuel Huapi lake. On the way, you’ll be able to see the pretty Swiss architecture and gorgeous flowers which make the local area so unique. When we arrive in Puerto Pañuelo, we’ll hop onto the Victoria Andino or Victoria del Lago catamaran to sail over the Nahuel Huapi lake towards Puerto Blest for around an hour. You’ll see stunning landscapes, thick surrounding forests and learn about the history of the area.
When we get to Puerto Blest, we’ll jump onto a bus which will take us three miles along the edge of the Frías River to Puerto Alegre. We’ll then get onto another boat, the Ciudad de la Fe, and sail through the calm, crystal-clear waters to Puerto Frías. The views of Tronador hill from this boat are incredible. After about 20 minutes we’ll get to the port and start the immigration process to get into Chile.
From here, we’ll hop on another bus to Puella, passing the lush vegetation along the Andes mountain range and the Pérez Rosales national park. When we arrive in Puella, we’ll finish the immigration process before heading to the Hotel Natura Patagonia where we’ll have some time for lunch (not included).
After lunch, we’ll sail over the Todos los Santos river towards Petrohué. Weather permitting, we’ll get incredible views of the Osorno and Tronador volcanoes as well as Puntiagudo hill. This scenic route also takes us past the Saltos de Petrohué (waterfalls) and along the edge of the Llanquihue lake.
We’ll round our tour off when we arrive in Puerto Varas with a transfer into the centre of the city.
