the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco, and go to Poroy train station in a private
transport. You will take the train, and start a little more than 3 hours’
journey to Aguas Calientes train
station. At this point, we will board the bus until the wonderful Citadel of Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu means “Old Mountain”, and is located 80 miles on the
northeast of the city of Cusco, in the Peruvian
Andes Mountain Range, surrounded by the River Vilcanota. The citadel was
built by the Inca Pachacutec between
1400 and 1500 A.D., being the exclusive housing of Inca aristocracy. Machu Picchu is located in a
subtropical area with different microclimates, and has an altitude of 2430

option to back to Aguas Calientes and have lunch (optional).
