Details of Day Tours

* 6:00 am: We meet at the designated point in Bogotá, beginning our journey towards the mysterious Chingaza National Natural Park. If you selected the option without transfer, the starting point will be in the town of Guasca.

* 7:30 am: We enjoy a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant. As we delight in the regional cuisine, we can feel the excitement grow at the adventure that awaits us.

* 9:00 am: We arrive near the Chingaza National Natural Parks cabin. Here, we immerse ourselves in the history of this sacred place for the Muiscas, the ancient indigenous civilization of the region. The legend of El Dorado comes to life as we explore the connections between this myth and the natural wealth of Chingaza.

* 10:00 am: The walk to the Siecha Lagoons begins. We enter the high Andean forest, a lush ecosystem where trees covered in moss and orchids give life to a magical environment. Our guide will share stories of the Muisca worldview and how this landscape was fundamental in their rituals.

* 1:00 pm: We arrive at the middle lagoon, a mystical place that transports us to ancient times. While we enjoy a snack, we reflect on the importance of these gaps in ancient mythology and their connection to the search for El Dorado.

* 2:00 pm: Lunch next to the main Siecha lagoon. We marveled at the views of the crystal clear waters surrounded by frailejones, emblematic plants for the Muiscas. The guide will immerse us in indigenous traditions, explaining how they revered nature.

* 3:00 pm: We begin the descent, exploring the trails that offer us different perspectives of the park. Our guide will share anecdotes about the Muisca resistance against the Spanish conquest, connecting history with the landscapes we explore.

* 6:00 pm: Return to Bogotá. As we leave Chingaza behind, we will share reflections on the importance of conserving these ecosystems and honoring the memory of our ancestors. The mountains say goodbye to us with vibrant colors at sunset.

* 7:00 pm: Transfer to Bogotá (if the option is chosen), concluding our day of discovery in the Chingaza National Natural Park.
