DAY 02. TUCUMAN - CAFAYATE.

Departure to Cafayate through Tafi del Valle, Amaicha and Quilmes.

Route 307 marks the ascent to the Valleys. The road goes into the Quebrada del Río Los Sosa and we stop at "El Indio" monument. Further up, we arrive at El Mollar to visit Los Menhires. Then we visit the picturesque town of Tafi del Valle. The PR 307 ascends to the Calchaquí Valleys in a pronounced zigzag until the Abra del Infiernillo, at 3,042 m.a.s.l.

Amaicha del Valle: We visit the square and its surroundings. After joining the RN 40, the Sacred City of Quilmes bursts in on the left. On the slope of the hill, the reconstructions of the residential area can be seen, topped by a fortress located at the top and two forts on both sides. We walk around what was the last bastion of the aboriginal resistance against the Spanish advance. The legendary RN 40 gets lost in the valley heading north, but not before passing through Colalao del Valle.

Cafayate: Land of sunshine and good wine, welcomes us with grape crops in vines and trellises. We visit a winery. Night in Cafayate.

DAY 03. CAFAYATE - SALTA.

Cafayate, located in the province of Salta, is one of the most important points of the Calchaqui Valleys because of its powerful wine industry; its Calchaqui, Spanish, immigrant and Creole history, resulted in this city having a style between colonial and baroque of the end of the 19th century. You will visit the wineries where you will be able to taste the particular Torrontés wine. Then we will go to Salta through the majestic Quebrada de las Conchas, where the curious formations eroded by the wind and water will be the main attraction: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the devil's throat, the castles, the amphitheatre, among others. Night in Salta.

DAY 04. SALTA.

In the afternoon, Salta City Tour: Tour around the most attractive places of the city: Cathedral Basilica, Cultural Center of the Americas, Historical Museum of the North (Cabildo), San Francisco Minor Basilica, San Bernardo Convent, Monument to Güemes, ascent of San Bernardo Hill and its panoramic view of the city, Visit to the summer village San Lorenzo in the outskirts of the city with its subtropical microclimate and the Crafts Market where crafts with origin certification from all the province are exposed. Night in Salta.

DAY 05. SALTA - HUMAHUACA.

A trip through the Quebrada, declared a World Heritage Site, where the landscape and the colors of the hills blend with the equally colorful cultures that inhabit this area. It is a journey of social contact and a view of the ancestral. It begins with the arrival to the little town of Purmamarca to observe the Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of the Seven Colors), the church and the handicraft market in the square. We pass by the Posta de Hornillos, continuing to the town of Tilcara to visit the Pucará and the Archaeological Museum. Continue to Huacalera, the pass of the Tropic of Capricorn, from where you can see the colors of the hill called La Pollera de la Colla. Visit the Church of Uquía, where the paintings of the Harquebusier Angels are located (important vestige in the area of the Cuzqueña School). Arrival to Humahuaca with its important Cathedral and the Independence Monument (El Indio) by the sculptor Soto Avendaño. Return after lunch to observe from the route the Painter's Palette that frames the town of Maimara. Arrival to San Salvador de Jujuy where we will visit the Flag Hall and the Cathedral Church, with its characteristic pulpit carved in wood and gold laminated and the Lola Mora statues .
