* Program 1: Las Queñuas 4 days/3 nights
(Includes 1 night of accommodation in a mountain post + 2 nights at Posada las Queñuas + full board)
- Departures are the 1st Thursday of each month and long weekends. Distance traveled 50 km.
Day 1: Siambón - Anfama
A transport will pass us to be picked up from 7:45 am for the hotels located in San Miguel de Tucumán. From there we head about 60 km north to arrive at approximately 9:00 am to the town of El Siambón. In this place, they will give us our horse and they will explain the route of approximately 7 hours that we are going to do.
We will pass through the Rio Grande ravine where we will visualize the different types of vegetation that make up the jungle until reaching the summits of Anfama. During the journey, we will have lunch and enjoy this beautiful landscape.
In the afternoon, we continue the march to finally arrive at the Rasguido family post where They will receive us with the warmth that characterizes the mountain people. There we will have dinner and sleep for the next day, continue our trip.
Day 2: Anfama - Las Queñuas
Around 9:00 am we will leave for the place of San José de Chaquivil, where we will cross deep streams and rivers. During the tour we will be able to appreciate indigenous remains such as the corrales de pirca and also menhir, it is a place that is characterized by the variety of landscapes.
After 8 kilometers traveled, we will arrive at the emblematic Las Queñuas inn, built with local materials (adobe, stone, straw, reeds, etc.) that is characterized by being on the foundations of the old part of the ranch. Lunch will be waiting for us there.
In the afternoon, there will be time to relax, walk around and learn more about the Las Queñuas Reserve project. In this place we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Las Queñuas
We will have breakfast at the Posada and then we will travel on horseback or walking the different corners of the reserve, among which the old Don Eusebio post stands out, the Guanacos table at 3,100 meters above sea level at the foot of Cerro Negrito. There we will have the possibility to see the condors flying.
In the afternoon we will have free time to enjoy the tranquility of Las Queñuas. We will spend the night in this place, where we will have a tasty lamb or a good barbecue accompanied by a warm bonfire.
Day 4: Las Queñuas - Raco
From 8:00 am breakfast will be waiting for us and once we finish, our horses will be ready to start the journey to Raco (1200 msnm). We continue towards the “Camino de las Cumbres de Raco” which reaches 2,200 meters above sea level, we will pass through the place of “La Hoyada”, nestled at the foot of the mountains located in the middle of two rivers.
On the way, we will stop for lunch. Once we get to Raco, we will say goodbye to the horses and the hills. There a transport is waiting for us to return to San Miguel de Tucumán and at approximately 6:30 pm it will leave us at our accommodation.
* Program 2 - Great journey 4 days/3 nights
(Includes 2 nights of accommodation in a mountain post + 1 night at Posada las Queñuas + Full board)
- This program can be done on foot or on horseback.
Tour from Tucumán to Tafi del Valle along the old paths of Calchaquí. Large slopes are crossed on foot, several rivers are forded. The tour allows us to slowly enter the world of the locals; a world where the rhythm is set by nature.
Day 1: Siambón - Anfama

Day 2: Anfama - Las Queñuas

Day 3: Las Queñuas - La Cienega
After breakfast, we will leave early towards the valley of La Cienega which is located at about 2,600 meters above sea level. We will ascend by the "slope of La Ramadita" the path borders the slopes of Cerro Negrito until we reach the Valley of La Ciénega. During the walk, the landscape alternates between lush ravines surrounded by alders and elderberries, wild meadows, to end in a high valley where sheep maintain the grass as if it were a golf course.
During the day we will make different stops that will give us time to have lunch as well as to have a snack.
At the end In the afternoon, after walking about 17 kilometers, we arrive at a simple family place, where we can relax and have a hot dinner.
Day 4: La Cienega - Tafí del Valle
Early in the morning the last and demanding section of the journey will be undertaken, the end of which is Tafí del Valle, which is located at 2000 meters above sea level. During the tour we will be able to observe the old corrals built by the original peoples and small indigenous settlements "antigales" in ruins.
Before reaching Tafí del Valle, We will dedicate a few minutes to enjoy the imposing view of the valley where we can see the La Angostura Dam and the summer villages of Tafí and El Mollar.
Once We arrive at the foot of the Hill, a lunch will be waiting for us. At the end of it, a vehicle will take us to San Miguel de Tucumán, on the way we will cross different landscapes where we can observe the different natural contrasts. At approximately 6.30 pm we will be arriving at our accommodation.
