Highlights of Visit Monumental And Bombonera Stadiums - River And Boca

Football is a passion and part of the Argentinian identity and our guided tour to River Plate and Boca Juniors stadiums is the best way to learn about the history of these giants of world football.

Our tour starts by going to the Bombonera where we will enjoy the Museum of the Boquense Passion, the changing rooms and the stalls. After that, we will go to the Monumental stadium. There our tour visits all the facilities of the club with its modern museum .

In both cases our tour includes taking pictures on the playing field. Our tour allows time
for shopping in the official shops of both clubs.

Details of Day Tours

Our guided tour begins in one of our offices. To begin with, we will head to the emblematic neighborhood of La Boca to enter in one of the most important stadiums in the country: La Bombonera . Inside the Boca Juniors stadium, you will be able to visit the preferential stands, the popular sector and the local dressing rooms. You will be able to take pictures on the pitch and we will finish in a grandstand where you will have the opportunity to see Diego Maradona`s private box seat.

Afterwards, we will go to the Boquense Passion Museum, where you will be able to learn about the history of the club, its players and the evolution of the t-shirt . In addition, you will be able to see a film that recreates in first person what it feels like to play in the club and go out on the pitch with the team.

You will have some free time to visit the museum store, shop at the official stores and have lunch.

In the afternoon we will head north of the city to the Nuñez neighbourhood where El Monumental is located. At first, we will visit the outside of the stadium to see part of the “Barrio River” , the Tiro Federal club and the access gates, and then we will enter in River Plate Museum.

There we will start the visit through the "temporary translation module ", which will show us part of the glory that River Plate has achieved through the years since its foundation in 1901. We will learn about the history of the club, its great players and its most important titlesThen we will enter this great stadium where you will be able to visit the presidential box , the preferential stands, the volleyball and basketball micro-stadiums, the educational institute and finally the playing field where you will be able to take pictures.

After 5 hours of  football, we return to the meeting point.

** At the moment, BOCA stadium is closed for visits, only the tour of the Museum of the Boquense Passion is being carried out.**

Guided tour of La Bombonera”

We weren't luck enough to be in BA when Boca were playing at home but went for the next best option - the guided tour of their stadium. We had a grear guide (Eugenie). She gave us loads of information on the ride there about the different areas we passed through and the history of the club. She took us through the museum and gave us so much information that we would never have found out if we had been wandering through on our own. She then accompanied us on the tour of the stadium itself which was really useful as it was largely in Spanish and meant the stadium tour guide didn't need to repeat everything for us. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are a football fan.

Being a student and only visiting Buenos Aires for a short time, tangol was the best option I could ask for. Besides going on a wonderful tour and having a great time at the futbol stadium tour, the customer service was terrific. Anytime I wanted to double check a booking or had a question, they would respond promptly and always have an answer for me. I recommend using tangol for all your Buenos Aires trip adventures.

Booked the Football Tour

We did the Football Tour with Tangol, and saw both the La Bombonera as well as the Monumental Stadium. We arranged the booking with Julieta, who was very helpful in getting the booking done last minute. The tour itself was fascinating and the guide was very knowledgeable. He himself is a River Plate supporter, and knew lots of little anecdotes on El Clasico (the River vs. Boca Derby). Overall I highly suggest this tour as it is also a very safe way to experience the neighbourhood of La Boca.
