We will begin our tour by visiting the Lillo Museum of Natural Sciences, to learn about the natural environment of the province of Tucumán and how it evolved. We will continue our visit to the Casa Belgraniana, which is a space that explains how the road to independence was.
We will visit the Ex Ingenio San Pablo , where we will get to know more about the sugar industry: from the time of the colony, the time of the Jesuits, how it affected the industrial revolution and the help of the railway together with modernism.
We will visit Villa Nougués and San Javier to get closer to the Cristo Bendiciente, where we can get the best views of the city. In the restaurant Sol San Javier the chef will receive us, and show us the secrets of the "empanadas tucumanas" before tasting them with a delicious glass of house wine.
After lunch, we will return to the Historic City where we will visit the Nueve de Julio Park and the Casa Obispo Colombres Sugar Industry Museum. Then we will make a walking tour of the historic center of Tucumán, visiting the historical places that gave rise to the declaration of Independence, such as Government House, Independence Square, Cathedral and La Merced Church, Tucumán Historic House and San Francisco Temple.
Finally, we will have free time to take a Historical Photo with costumes of the time (optional, not included in the tour). After this fun day, we will be returning to our selected hotels in San Miguel de Tucumán.
