A shuttle will pick us up from downtown hotels such as: Rio Amazonas, Holiday Inn, Wyndham Garden, Kaia, Mercure, Hilton Colon, Swissotel and if you are not staying at one of these hotels, the meeting point is at Galeria Ecuador, located at Reina Victoria and Lizardo Garcia or also in the Mariscal area.
From there we will go to the "Ciudad Mitad del Mundo", where we will be able to see the monument that divides the northern and southern hemispheres of the planet. We will have the possibility to live a unique experience that defies the laws of physics inside the museum. We will interact with different themes to understand this phenomenon that is lived in the 0º latitude.
Starting with the timeline (highlighting the main events from the arrival of the mission to the work on the new monument), we will be able to experience electromagnetic levitation, wireless energy, magnetic fields and continue the tour through 6 interactive floors that show us the culture of Ecuador and explain why we are in the middle of the world. We will also learn about levitation, the seasons, the Thomson ring and the equinox and solstice phenomena.
We will have the possibility to learn about the Coriolis effect, the precession and nutation movements of the earth through the Gyroscope, also to discover why we weigh less in this city and to know the centrifugal force.
You will have free time to take the best pictures with one foot in the north and the other in the south, explore the sensorial, photomontage and touch screen rooms where we will be able to obtain information about the different regions of Ecuador, getting to know their culture, gastronomy and tourism.
After visiting this privileged place, we will be able to stamp our passport with the stamp "From the centre of the Planet".
