The Galapagos Islands can be visited year-round, thanks to their privileged climate and impressive biodiversity in every season. However, the best time to visit depends on your preferences. Between December and May, the weather is warm and the seas are calm, ideal for water activities and observing nesting sea turtles. From June to November is the dry season, with cooler temperatures and excellent conditions for birdwatching and spotting marine life such as sea lions and hammerhead sharks. Book your tour accordingly.
For the 8-day excursion, we recommend packing comfortable, lightweight clothing, swimsuits, biodegradable sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat or cap, sunglasses, sandals, hiking boots with good traction, a small backpack for day trips, and a camera to capture the wildlife and landscapes. Don`t forget personal medications, toiletries, and a reusable water bottle. Remember that there are restrictions on bringing food into the Galapagos, so it`s important to check these regulations before traveling to comply with environmental preservation rules.
