Isla de la Plata, located within Machalilla National Park, boasts a great diversity of marine fauna and birds found throughout the Galápagos. It is renowned for its enormous colony of hawksbill turtles, and is frequently visited by humpback whales and giant manta rays!

We begin our adventure in Puerto López to board our boat; during the voyage from June to October we will observe humpback whales.

Once we arrive at our first dive site, we`ll receive our equipment for the first dive and we`ll be ready! Let`s enjoy our first dive!

After this we will have a short break, then we will get ready for our second and fascinating dive in the waters of the Ecuadorian Coast!

Once the activity is over, we will have a box lunch and return to Puerto.

Details of Day Tours

Diving off the coast of Machalilla National Park is an unforgettable experience, don`t miss it! You`ll have the opportunity to swim near beautiful coral reefs, which are home to a large number of different colorful fish, turtles, starfish, moray eels, lobsters, and other species.

We will begin our program in the morning, taking our boat to the first dive site. Along the way, we will be able to observe a wonderful dance, "The Courtship Dance of the Humpback Whales." Upon arriving at our first stop, you will be able to make your first dive!

Our guide will give you a short introduction to the local currents and we will be   Ready to enjoy this fantastic adventure! After this, we`ll have our snack and some rest time to prepare for our second dive!

Each dive lasts an average of 45 minutes depending on your diving level.

If you are a discovery diver or have never dived before, a 30-minute dive is performed.

After this we will return to Puerto López.
