During a tour of the Galapagos Islands, tourists can expect to see a wide variety of iconic species such as giant tortoises, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, sea lions, and penguins. In addition, the native flora, including cacti and mangroves, is a must-see. The tours are designed to observe these species in their natural habitat, making them ideal for those who enjoy ecotourism and nature photography. Accompanied by expert guides, you will discover the unique biodiversity of the Galapagos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a protected and safe environment.
To visit the Galapagos Islands, you must present a valid passport, purchase a Transit Card (TCT) at the airport, and pay the Galapagos National Park entrance fee upon arrival. It is recommended to purchase travel insurance, wear light clothing and sunscreen, bring insect repellent, and respect conservation regulations. Luggage should be kept to a minimum, following the tour operator`s guidelines. It is important to book in advance, especially during peak season, to guarantee your place on the cruise and fully enjoy the experience.
The Galapagos Islands can be visited year-round thanks to their pleasant climate, but the seasons vary depending on what you want to see. From December to May, the weather is warmer and the seas calmer, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. From June to November, the waters are cooler, but there is a greater presence of fish and seabirds. Each season offers distinct nature and wildlife viewing experiences. Consult with a travel agency about your interests to choose the best time based on your itinerary and preferred activities.
The experience aboard a Galapagos cruise is comfortable and personalized, as these ships typically have limited capacity to ensure attentive service and minimize environmental impact. Excursions usually have between 16 and 20 passengers, allowing for small groups ideal for nature and adventure trips. The facilities include comfortable cabins, common areas, and a dining room. The staff provides constant attention, bilingual guides, and planned activities such as tours, educational talks, and snorkeling. This format is ideal for enjoying ecotourism without crowds and with maximum safety.
