This hike is tough approximately 3 hours and has two daily departures at 08:00 hrs, 14:30 hrs. We start by sailing on a zodiac boat for 20 minutes from the camp base until reaching the glacier island "Nunatak" and we will begin to walk on the moraine glacial until you reach the ice.


This adventure requires good physical condition and you should always wear appropriate clothing for this excursion which includes sunglasses, hat, gloves, water clothing and shoes with good grip on the ankles.


This impressive Gray Glacier has around 6 kilometers of wide, a total area of 270 km² and is divided into 3 sides. It`s one of the more than 40 glaciers that are part of the Field of Hielo Sur, being also a place of discharge of fresh water from this one.

How to get there:

1st Option: From Puerto Natales. you must arrive until the Sailing Sail on Lake Grey, on the Catamaran Gray III. Yeah leaves at 10.00 am, check in is at 09.00 am, arrive at base camp at 11.00 am for the first excursion.

If it sails at 1:00 p.m. hrs, check in is at 12:00 p.m., and you will arrive at the base at 2:00 p.m. approximately for the second navigation. The third navigation returns from the shelter at 5:30 p.m., for passengers who must return to the hotel or city.
