At 9 AM or 4 PM,depending on the tour chosen, the pick-up of passengers begins in a comfortable 4 x 4 at the hotels and once ready, the ascent begins through the Huyliche and Calafate hills, reaching the private Estancia 25 de Mayo National Park.
On this incredible 4x4 expedition we will go to the most remote places in Deep Patagonia, leaving from the city of The Calafate towards the south and reaching panoramic points from which we contemplate the immensity of the landscape, with a beautiful view of the Verlika and Baguales hills that mark the southern border with Chile. We will continue along the course of the Calafate stream, recognizing the change in flora as we gain height until we reach the Villalba family outpost, the first settlers of this estancia. There we will be able to observe the landscape that surrounds us while learning about the history of this family. Afterwards, as we pass by the property, we will take a brief look at the rural activities that take place on the site.
Then, we will get off the vehicle to go on the fossil trekking, during which we will be able to explore and discover archaeological sites that date back to the Ice Age for 30 minutes. Once immersed in the steppe, we will be able to see different species that inhabit it while the guides tell us about them and their way of life.
Returning to the ravine, we will be able to enjoy a delicious country stew at the "La Sección"" stand.
After lunch or dinner, we begin the return trip to El Calafate.
