In this section of subtropical rainforest on the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls, you can observe a wide variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds, and butterflies during your walk, as well as the diverse native species that inhabit this park.
Once you pass through the entrance gate, continue towards the "Central Station." where the option is to take a train service which takes them to the "Cataratas Station" and/or " Garganta del Diablo Station ." The other option to access the Cataratas Circuits (Upper and Lower Walkways) is via the "Sendero Verde" (Green Trail) pedestrian path , which is 600 meters long, begins at the Visitor Center, and ends at the Cataratas Station.
From this point, you can take
the Upper Walkway: An 800-meter walkway elevated above the ground to avoid hindering or scaring away the wildlife that inhabits the rainforest. On this circuit, you can observe the waterfalls from the top of Dos Hermanas, Bosetti, Bernabé Méndez, and M`Bigua falls, among others.
The walk lasts one (1) hour.
Difficulty level: easy, no stairs.
Lower Walkway: A 1,600-meter walk along a boardwalk, elevated above the ground, offering views from the base of the Dos Hermanas, Alvar Núñez, San Martín, and Bosetti Falls, as well as the Peñón de la Bella Vista (Beautiful View Rock), from where there is a panoramic view of the Devil`s Throat and the Lower Iguazu River Canyon. A unique experience of being and feeling an integral part of the natural environment, experiencing the magnitude of the falls up close.
Duration The tour lasts two (2) hours.
Difficulty level: Moderate difficulty, with stairs. From this circuit, you have the option to visit San Martín Island and embark/disembark for the Great Adventure.
Devil`s Throat: Departing from Cataratas Station, the train travels to Garganta Station in approximately 18 minutes. The walk along the walkways extends 1,200 meters to reach the main balcony and admire the most spectacular and important waterfalls of the Iguazu Falls, the Devil`s Throat.
This walk takes approximately two (2) hours .
