Our meeting will begin at the Portón de Campo next to the municipal tourist information office.
Our guide will tell you in detail about the points of interest that have allowed the city to be since 1995 declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
During our walk, we will visit the Portón de Campo, the famous Calle de los Suspiros, the old bastions or bastions, the Ruins of the San Francisco Xavier Convent, the exterior of the Lighthouse, the exterior of the Basilica and others monuments of vital importance to understand the history of the oldest city in Uruguay.
Our guide will take you through the centuries, telling you the story of how the Portuguese founded this city in 1680, how it came into Spanish hands, and how it has evolved into what it is today in day.
After our walking tour, you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch in a colonial mansion located in the heart of the Historic District, in the traditional PicNic cafeteria. The cafeteria is known for its sweets and its exquisite coffee. Here they will have the time they want to enjoy the snack.
Our services end here, but if you wish, our guide will be available to answer any questions you may have or provide recommendations for further exploring the city.
