Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your central hotel in Montevideo and we will begin a 177 kilometer journey .
In Colonia del Sacramento, we will find the well-known Street of Sighs which It keeps many legends about its origin and from where we can observe the coast of Río de la Plata and its beautiful sunset.
Further on we can approach the Historic Center in Plaza de Armas, there, the Church of the Blessed Sacrament was built in 1680, and with it brings many memories and history of Colonia.
Then, we will continue through the San Pedro Bastion where the Uruguayan Flag stands accompanied by the Polvorín and the Lighthouse, a touristic spot that we will not stop seeing and visiting, as well as the Spanish and Portuguese Museums, Azulejo Museum (entrance tickets are not included )
We will also visit the Rambla Costanera, the Real de San Carlos with its old Bullring, the Church of San Benito and the residential neighborhoods of the city.
We will take an absolutely different and exclusive walking tour of cultural interest to learn about and enjoy the magic of this environment with free time to have lunch (not included) and continue exploring its surroundings.
After an unforgettable day, we will return to the hotels in Montevideo.
To make a more complete and truly unforgettable experience, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays in addition after visiting Colonia del Sacramento, you can visit another town: Nueva Helvecia, also known as Colonia Suiza. We will pass by the elegant Hotel Nirvana with a Colonial façade surrounded by a park and gardens, and we will continue towards Plaza de los Fundadores and the beautiful Sanctuary of the Virgin of Schoenstatt.
