The Museum Andes pays tribute to Friday, October 13, 1972, when a Fairchild 227 plane carrying 45 people crashed in the Andes, unleashing an amazing survival story. This space commemorates the struggle of a group of Uruguayan youth, friends and families against adversity. Dedicated to the 45 souls on board and especially the 29 who did not return, the museum also honors the 16 compatriots who emerged after 72 days of hunger, pain and hope amid despair. A moving testimony of human resilience in the face of tragedy.
