After being picked up from your hotel in the center of Punta del Este, we will go to our first stop at Punto Shopping de la Peninsula, there is this shopping center with a avant-garde style, movie theaters, food court, and many commercial stores.
Very close to the Shopping center we will find the Handicraft Fair which was located on Plaza Artigas de la Peninsula, it has up to 200 stands that allow visitors to take souvenirs and crafts for all tastes.
Upon arriving at Puerto de Yates, named Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, we will have a nice view of picturesque boats. From sports boats, cruises, to small fishing boats arrive there and a varied amount of activities are developed and enjoyed by its visitors; like renting a boat, trying a delicious fish or even going sailing.
We will continue along the Corner of the Four Seas, a restaurant with a menu that tempts the palate and from now on you can get the exclusive view towards the Impressive José Ignacio Lighthouse, looking towards the Atlantic Ocean.
As we continue ahead, we will see the Residential Neighborhoods and Mansions whose gardens and beautiful architecture embellish the landscape. We will arrive at Barra de Maldonado and we will not be able to miss the amazing Undulating Bridges which, as their name suggests, have an unconventional and fun architectural design of curves for crossing the stream.
After the Arroyo, there is the Indigenous Park with native fauna where you can also continue enjoying the afternoon outdoors. Then, we will see Jagüel Park continuing towards Beverlly Hills, Barrio Lugano, a set of luxurious Houses and Mansions with ostentatious gardens.
We will pass by Cantegrille, the Historic City of Maldonado and Pinares , until you reach Punta Ballenas where you can make a recommended visit to the Museum-Workshop of the talented artist Carlos Páez Vilaró (Optional). The Sunset and the magical beauty of the place are of great artistic attraction for all who visit it.
