This incredible day tour starts with the pick up at the
hotel located in the city of Lima, and then, we will take the north path to leave
the city of Lima away. During our way to the city of Caral in Supe, we are going to make a short stop to eat
breakfast (optional).
In a total journey of 113
miles north of Lima (circa 5 hours), we will arrive to the Valley of Supe, in the province of
Barranca, the place that houses the famous Sacred
City of Caral.
Officially discovered in 1948, Caral has an area of more
than 60 hectares with important urban
settlements such as pyramidal structures,
squares, amphitheater, as well as residential complexes. The Caral civilization
belongs to the late archaic period with 5000
years old, and it was developed between the years 3000 to 1800 BC.
Our professional
guide will show us this fantastic city in a tour of 2 hours, with the opportunity to admire the advance develop
of this Andean civilization, such as
the construction of irrigation canals with water reserves, as well as cultural traditions and religious
rituals.
The Supe River

amazed by this archaeological wonder, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009.
After the visit to the site
of Caral the sacred city, we are going to have time to enjoy lunch in
nearby restaurants to the archaeological area (optional).
At the end of this amazing experience, we will back to Lima,
and drop you off at the hotel.
