Estimated itinerary for our full day tour to Guatapé and La Piedra Del Peñol : 

  • 8:00 to 9 AM: Pick up at your accommodation in Medellín. The expert guide will pick you up in private transportation to leave the city towards Guatapé.

  • 10 AM: Arrival at Guatapé. We will begin by exploring the charming town of Guatapé, you can walk through the colorful streets, learning about its history and culture. The town of Guatapé is famous for its church and the beautiful paintings that decorate the facades of the houses. The town center is vibrant and colorful, with each house telling a unique story. You will have time to explore and discover, with our expert guide, the best kept secrets in its colorful streets.

  • 11:30 AM: Climb to the impressive Piedra del Peñón . We will leave the town to head towards the impressive stone monolith of more than  200 meters high. We will climb at our own pace the 740 steps that will take us to the top, from there, we will enjoy the panoramic views, you will have enough time to take photos and marvel at the surrounding landscape.

  • 01:30 PM: Typical Colombian lunch in a local restaurant, where you can taste traditional dishes and recharge your batteries for the rest of the day.

  • 2:30 PM: We will embark on a pleasant boat ride through the Guatapé reservoir. During the 40-minute navigation, you will enjoy the views and a landscape that dates back to the 70s with the construction of the Nare River dam, which gave rise to a beautiful artificial lake, today a source of economic, tourist and cultural development. energy of the region. 

  • 04:00 PM: Free time to rest and enjoy a snack. You can relax next to the reservoir, explore the area or simply take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
