The tour begins early in the morning with a departure from Medellín. Traveling comfortably in our vehicles, we will immerse ourselves in the green, rolling landscapes of southwestern Antioquia, enjoying the journey to our first destination, the charming town of Hispania. There, we will stroll through its quiet streets, appreciating the serene atmosphere and warmth of its people.
We continue the journey to Andes, a vibrant town known for its local life and rich coffee tradition. You will be able to explore the area near the main square and learn more about the history and culture of coffee in the region from our expert guide. Then, we continue our way to Jardín, the main destination of our tour.
Upon arriving in Jardín, you will be greeted by its vibrant flower-adorned streets and colonial-style houses. Founded in 1863, Jardín has been an important coffee and banana production center. We will visit the majestic Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, a neo-Gothic jewel with an imposing carved stone facade. From there, you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive panoramic views of the coffee landscapes surrounding Jardín.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can taste the best of typical Antioquian cuisine in an authentic and cozy atmosphere. After lunch, we continue with a visit to the famous Macanas café, where you can relax and enjoy the incomparable aroma of quality coffee. We will also stop at the Casa de los Dulces, an emblematic place where you will taste the delicious rice pudding, the town`s signature dessert.
The tour concludes with a quiet walk through the picturesque streets of Jardín, allowing you to capture the essence of the place and take the last photographs before returning to Medellín. You can take the opportunity to buy souvenirs and crafts. We will return to Medellín around 8 PM, closing an intense day of mountains, towns and authentic coffee.
