The tour begins early in the morning with departure from Medellín. Traveling comfortably in our vehicles, we`ll immerse ourselves in the green, rolling landscapes of southwestern Antioquia, enjoying the journey to our first destination, the charming town of Hispania. There, we`ll stroll through its peaceful streets, appreciating the serene atmosphere and the warmth of its people.
We continue our journey to Andes, a vibrant town known for its local life and rich coffee tradition. You`ll be able to explore the area near the main square and learn more about the history and culture of coffee in the region from our expert guide. Next, we continue our journey to Jardín, the main destination of our tour. Upon arriving in Jardín, you will be greeted by its vibrant, flower-adorned streets and colonial-style houses. Founded in 1863, Jardín has been an important center for coffee and banana production. We will visit the majestic Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, a neo-Gothic jewel with an imposing carved stone facade. From there, you`ll have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the coffee landscapes surrounding Jardín. Afterwards, we`ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor the best of traditional Antioquian cuisine in an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. Following lunch, we`ll continue with a visit to the renowned Café Macanas, where you can relax and enjoy the unparalleled aroma of high-quality coffee. We will also stop at the House of Sweets, an iconic place, where you will taste the delicious rice pudding, the town`s signature dessert. The tour concludes with a leisurely stroll through the picturesque streets of Jardín, allowing you to capture the essence of the place and take some final photos before returning to Medellín. You can take the opportunity to buy souvenirs and handicrafts. We will return to Medellín around 8 PM, concluding an intense day of mountains, towns, and authentic coffee.
