Details of Travel Packages

*Live the calm and experience of being just you, the forest and the glacier from very close*

We can start this experience by choosing option 1 that includes transfers from "Puerto Tranquilo" and leaves at 07.00 am. Or you can choose option 2 that does NOT include transfers, in this case you can go on your own to the meeting point and where the experience begins at the "Bahía Exploradores" Dock at 09:00 am.

The adventure starts already leaving from Puerto Tranquilo , the amazing landscapes begin to excite us and prepare us for what we are about to experience. Just before crossing the bridge at the northern limit, you must turn onto route X-728 towards the Valle de Exploradores, which you must follow until km. 91 where is the end of the path. It is approximately two hours from Puerto Tranquilo to this point. The meeting time is at 9:00 am in Explorers Bay, here we will have a large but “informal sector” to park and the crew will be waiting for us.

Once we arrive at the dock, the guide will give us a brief talk about safety and trip overview. Then we will embark on the picturesque boat, called "La Certeza", where we will begin a smooth navigation through the final stretch and delta of the Río Exploradores, a particularly beautiful setting where we will also enjoy a rich breakfast on board.

We will cross the lagoon to disembark at the sector of the Ofqui Isthmus Beach. At this point we will have lunch and begin a walk along a historical path, which has the remains of what was the attempt to build a canal between the years 38`and 40` of the last century to join San Rafael Lagoon with the Gulf of Penas.

After a walk of approximately 2 hours we will arrive at the Río Negro, where we will embark on a zodiac boat to begin the descent down the river. After 1 hour and a half of navigation, we will arrive at San Quintín Beach, with a view of the imposing glacier of the same name.

When we return from the walk we will set up our camp and prepare dinner, we will spend the night in our "Lotus belle tents", equipped with beds, sleeping bags and a small combustion. Throughout this journey, you will be able to learn about the history of Ofqui and enjoy the beautiful beach at the end of the road, eternal and long where the waves that come from the Gulf of Sorrows crash.

The next day, we will start with a walk along the beach towards a sector called Isla del Devil. We will spend the day discovering whale bones, miniature forests, following animal tracks and deciphering the wonderful biodiversity of the sector.

We will arrive at our camp at sunset to prepare dinner and spend the second night in the sector.

On the third day we will return to San Rafael where we will meet the boat to take us towards the blue wall of the glacier. After lunch we will begin the return to Exploradores Bay, arriving at the dock at approximately 5:30 p.m. and then continue on to Puerto Tranquilo.
