We invite you on a fascinating journey very close to the city of Pucón, to the impressive Volcanic Caves, an underground wonder that will take us through hidden passages and astonishing geological formations.
We will pick you up at the agreed-upon time at your hotel in the city of Pucón to head off on this adventure. About 15 km away, we`ll find this underground wonder
hidden in the earth that will surprise us.
As we delve deeper into the caves, we`ll find ourselves surrounded by unique geological formations, stalactites and stalagmites that have taken thousands of years to form. The silence and mysterious atmosphere will transport you to another world.
We will begin this interesting visit that will give us an insight into the Volcanology and geomorphology of the area. What we will see here is a lava tunnel located 200 meters deep and 650 meters long, formed by one of the countless eruptions that have occurred at the Villarrica volcano over time.
Also, we will visit the House of Volcanoes, where a photographic sequence of the six most iconic eruptions is displayed. There are also seismographs and other instruments that allow the detection of volcanic activity.
Then we will continue
to the center of the beautiful city of Pucón,
not only one of the main cities in Araucanía, but also one of the most beautiful. We will continue our tour today through this beautiful town,
surrounded by majestic mountains and bathed by the crystal-clear waters of
Lake Villarrica, known as Chile`s adventure destination.
We will continue this visit to the famous Wooden Flower Crafts fair to learn about their unique craftsmanship. If we`re lucky, anyone who wants to can participate in their handmade creation.
We will also visit the La Poza sector,
an old beach where wood was stored to be transported by steamboats
to the city of Villarrica in the year 1800.
Today it is the Poza a wonderful place with a privileged view
of the majestic Villarrica volcano and its surroundings. There, we can enjoy its tranquility, silence, and wonderful natural greenery, learning about some of the area`s bird species.
From there, we will head to the city`s Plaza de Armas to see its ancient trees and visit the unique city center of this important town in the heart of southern Chile.
At the end of this unforgettable experience in Pucón and the Volcanic Caves, we will return to the starting point.
