We invite you on a fascinating journey very close to the city of Pucón, to the impressive Volcanic Caves , an underground wonder that will take us through hidden passages and amazing geological formations.
We`ll pick you up at the agreed time from your hotel in Pucón to head off on this adventure. About 15 km away, we`ll find this subterranean wonder hidden deep underground that will amaze us.
As we venture deeper into the caves, we will find ourselves surrounded by unique geological formations, Stalactites and stalagmites that have taken thousands of years to form. The silence and mysterious atmosphere will transport you to another world.
We will begin this interesting visit, which will give us a glimpse into the volcanology and geomorphology of the area. What we will see here is a lava tube located 200 meters deep and 650 meters long, formed by one of the countless eruptions that have occurred over time at the Villarrica volcano.
In addition, we will visit the House of Volcanoes , where a photographic sequence of the six most emblematic eruptions is displayed, and where seismographs and other instruments that allow the detection of volcanic activity are also located.
Next, we`ll continue to the center of the beautiful city of Pucón , not only one of the main cities in the Araucanía region, but also one of the most beautiful. We`ll continue our tour today through this lovely town surrounded by majestic mountains and bathed by the crystal-clear waters of Lake Villarrica. It`s known as Chile`s adventure destination.
We will continue this visit to the famous wooden flower craft fair, to learn about its unique manufacturing process and, if we are lucky, anyone who wants to can participate in the artisanal making of them.
We will also visit the La Poza sector , an old beach where wood was stockpiled to be taken by steamships to the city of Villarrica in the year 1800.
Today, La Poza is a wonderful place with a privileged view of the majestic Villarrica volcano and its surroundings. There, you can enjoy its tranquility, silence, and beautiful natural greenery, while also observing some of the local bird species .
From there we will head to the Plaza de Armas of the City to see its ancient trees and visit the special city center of this important town in the heart of Southern Chile.
At the end of this unforgettable experience in Pucón and the Volcanic Caves , we will return to the starting point.
