We invite you to this exciting adventure through this unique place in the heart of the Chilean Araucanía, very close to Lake Caburgua. Its beauty lies in its three waterfalls, which reach heights of between 15 and 20 meters, surrounded by lush vegetation. The Ojos del Caburgua are pools of water of great natural beauty, with an electric blue color.
We`ll begin our adventure today by leaving our hotel at the agreed-upon time and heading about 25 km from the city of Pucón, to the town of Caburgua. In this unique area, we`ll find a wealth of attractions, including rivers, forests, and mountains , as well as the Trancura and Liucura rivers, where rafting and sport fishing are popular activities.
We`ll find spectacular views of the three volcanoes : Villarrica, Quetrupillán, and Lanín . Once at Ojos del Caburgua, we can appreciate numerous colorful waterfalls in a series of beautiful turquoise pools surrounded by native forest typical of the Valdivian rainforest.
From this beautiful place emerges an underground river . Its water comes from an underground drain from Lake Caburgua and it is possible to explore it via wooden walkways.
After marveling at such natural beauty, we will immerse ourselves in the native forest to begin our journey to Lake Caburgua, located 2 km from the site. It sits at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level and covers approximately 7,700 hectares.
Always surrounded by the traditional Valdivian rainforest that blankets the area. Popular legend tells of a large crater of an extinct volcano in the center of the lake, which is why its bottom is never found.
We will visit Playa Negra and its scenic attractions, with mountains completely covered in the typical Valdivian rainforest. We will be able to see that its warm waters are the result of thermal springs within the lake.
After exploring and connecting with the beauty of the Ojos del Caburgua and Lake Caburgua, we will return to our starting point, where we will say goodbye with lasting memories and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Araucanía in Chile.
Definitely an experience you can`t miss!
