Ischigualasto Provincial Park is unique in the world for its continental Triassic sediments: ash; white, gray, red and vermillion-colored rocks that contain reptile and dinosaur fossils. It has an area of 2916 hectares and is located north of the province of San Juan.
Its geoforms of curious shapes (El Submarino, El Hongo, La Cancha de Bochas) and the remains of the oldest dinosaur are some of the attractions of this site, which is also known as "Valley of the Moon", thanks to its resemblance to the surface of the satellite.
Talampaya Park occupies an area of approximately 215,000 hectares located in the south of the province of La Rioja. Inside it has vestiges of what life was like in this place millions years ago. Its reddish and brown colors manage to transport us to another world in which dinosaurs and other extinct species once reigned.
The Talampaya Canyon is the most important and impressive attraction of the National Park thanks to its imposing reddish walls of 150 meters, diverse geoforms (El Monje, La Torre, etc), and magnificent cave manifestations called petroglyphs.
