walk starts at 07 am, with the passengers pick up from their hotels
in downtown Calafate. We travel around 45km along a route that will
take us through the countryside, allowing us to appreciate
picturesque wooden houses along the way.
reached the port of Punta Bandera, on Lake Argentino, we will board a
modern and comfortable boat, that at approximately 8:15 AM, will left
behind the port to begin the navigation.
Making our way past towering icebergs, we’ll head towards the Brazo Norte of the lake up to the last permitted point of navigation on the Upsala Channel, where stunning views of the Upsala Glacier await. Then, we’ll sail down the Cristina Canal until we reach our stop at the ranch at roughly 11:30am
will stay there about six hours, during which we will visit: the
Folkloric Museum, located in what used to be an old shearing shed,
where they will introduce us to the history of the Estancia.
4x4 vehicles specially equipped for this type of terrain, will be
waiting us to begin a journey of 9.5 km through the Cordón Feruglio,
on a mountain road, which not so long ago used to be covered by
glaciers. During the trip we will enjoy watching attractive
landscapes of great geological value, until we reach the shelter
there we will take a walk of about 20 minutes to reach the Mirador
del Upsala, located 550 meters above sea level, where we can
appreciate the Lake Guillermo and the imposing eastern front of
Upsala Glacier, the southern Patagonian ice, and Cerros Murallón and
05.30 PM we will get back to the boat to begin the return to Puerto
Punta Bandera. After landing, at approximately 07 PM, passengers will
be taken back to their hotels, ending the tour.
