The tour begins, at 7:30 AM, with the pick-up of passengers from their hotels in downtown Calafate. We will travel around 45 km along a route that will take us through the rural area, allowing us to appreciate picturesque wooden houses along the way.
Arriving at the Puerto de Punta Bandera, in the Lago Argentino, we will board a modern and comfortable boat, which will leave the port behind to begin the navigation. Crossing imposing icebergs, you begin to navigate along the northern arm of Lake Argentina to reach the permitted navigation limit in the Upsala Channel, and thus have a panoramic view of the front of the glacier of the same name. We will continue browsing the Canal Cristina until the point of Costumbrista Museum, located in what used to be an old shearing shed, where you will be introduced to the history of the Estancia.
Then, 4x4 vehicles land They will be waiting for us to start a 9.5 km crossing, through Cordón Feruglio, along a mountain road, which, until recently, was covered by glaciers. During the trip we will enjoy observing landscapes of great geological attraction , until we reach the Continental Ice Shelter.
From there we will take a walk of approximately 20 minutes until we reach the Uppsala Viewpoint, located at 550 meters above sea level, from where we can appreciate the Lake Guillermo and the imposing Eastern front of the Upsala Glacier, the Southern Patagonian Ice, and the Murallón and Don Bosco Hills.
