Arriving at the destination after an hour of travel by bus, we will board a modern catamaran at 09:00.
The navigation it begins heading northwest, passing through Tip Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo -the narrowest passage of the lake, approximately 800 meters-. After two hours of sailing, the succession of icebergs of the most varied colors and shapes announce the proximity of the Upsala Glacier. We will stop in front of the barrier of icebergs that momentarily prevents entry to the Upsala Channel and, if weather conditions permit, we will admire the Upsala Glacier in the distance. style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;">We will continue to navigate the lago Argentino heading south, taking the Spegazzini Channel to reach the glacier of the same name. The cruise allows for a stunning approach to this glacier, which has frontal walls between 80 and 135 meters above lake level, making it the highest in the National Park. The cruise has four exterior decks that allow contemplate the surroundings from all points of the boat.
After observing the glacier, a delicious gourmet meal will be served on board while we enjoy this wonderful landscape.
Towards the afternoon, the cruise ship will arrive at Puesto de Las Vacas -an extremely calm bay within the Spegazzini Channel-, where its engines will be silenced to allow passengers to disembark and take a short, low-intensity trek, coordinated by our team of guides. We will walk for an hour through the Patagonian forest, in a land where cattle ranching was practiced. The path will take us to magnificent panoramic pointsSpegazzini Glacier from another perspective.
In the final part we will navigate to the Perito Moreno Glacier, where we will have a privileged view of the north wallof this ice giant, still growing.
Later, we begin the return trip, arriving at the La Soledad Private Port at 5:00 p.m., from where we will take you back to your hotel in El Calafate.
If you want an even more complete experience, we now offer the option of disembarking in Puerto Moreno at approximately 3:30 p.m. to do 2 hours of trekking on the Footbridges and from there return to the hotels in El Calafate.
