At approximately 7:30 AM we will be picked up at our selected hotels to leave for Uspallata, while we skirt the Mendoza River and we enjoyed the Cordón del Plata and the Potrerillos Dam.
Once we arrive at Uspallata we will make our first stop. Here we will find ourselves in front of a pre-Hispanic settlement of Huarpes aborigines, and also with the southernmost point of the Inca empire. We will visit the Villas of Picheuta, Polvaredas and Punta de Vacas.
We will continue towards the Cerro Aconcagua Viewpoint Located in thethe provincial park that protects the area, in the highest region from the Andes without first losing sight of the impressive Inca Bridge, a natural architectural work with hot springs. Then we will go to Penitentes, a town located just 4km from Cerro Aconcagua, the highest peak in the American continent, whose ski center has the largest infrastructure in Mendoza. Finally, we will visit Villa Las Cuevas, located at 3200 masl.
Between Villa Las Cuevas and the international tunnel we will find the path that allows us to go up to the Christ the Redeemer, a monument that symbolizes the union between Argentines and Chileans. Access to the monument is only enabled in summer.
After the visit we will be returning to our selected hotels in Mendoza at approximately 5:30 p.m. In summer, if we go up to Christ the Redeemer, the excursion will end in approximately 20 Hrs.
