🎨 We will begin the tour in front of the historic Notable Bar El Federal , in San Telmo, where our guide will introduce us to the first concepts of porteño fileteado , with a fileteado mural as a backdrop.
Then we`ll delve into the streets of San Telmo , a veritable open-air museum where this art form comes alive on facades, signs, and various corners of the neighborhood. During the walk, we`ll discover the history of fileteado, its main characteristics, and the legacy of the great masters who helped make it a symbol of Buenos Aires culture.
Born in Buenos Aires at the beginning of the 20th century , fileteado became one of the most recognizable expressions of Argentine identity. Its cultural importance transcended borders and today it is part of UNESCO`s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity .
🏛️ We will visit the Church of San Pedro González Telmo , where we can admire several works by the master Martiniano Arce , and continue to the emblematic San Telmo Market , one of the most traditional and visited spaces in Buenos Aires.
