Schedule for the day:
9 - 9:30am: We’ll start picking everyone up from their hotels in our comfortable minivan, and make our way over to the ranch. On the way, our guide will talk to you about the gaucho way of life out in the countryside.
11am: When we arrive at the ranch we’ll be greeted with traditional empanadas and drinks.
12 noon: After being welcomed in, our guide will give us a tour round La Candelaria and tell us about its history. You’ll then have some time to explore the huge grounds around the ranch.
1pm: No trip would be complete without a traditional asado, complete with chorizo, riñones (kidney), chinchulines (chitlins), matambre (beef roulade), ribs, steak, chicken and a whole host of salads! For dessert you’ll have the option of flan or apple crumble with cinnamon, both served with cream. Lunch is served with one non-alcoholic drink.
2 - 3pm: After lunch, you’ll get to see a traditional gaucho show, complete with local music and dancing. They’ll then show off their incredible and unique skills, using tools such as boleadoras to demonstrate age-old expertise. Afterwards, you’ll get to try some horseback riding (if you wish!) before heading back to see some more gaucho dancing.
4pm: We’ll bring our time at the ranch to a close with a merienda, a late-afternoon snack where you can choose to try the traditional mate or have some coffee or tea, as well as little Argentine cakes, pastries and other sweet treats.
6pm: We’ll arrive back in Buenos Aires and drop you off at your hotel after an exciting and utterly unique experience.
